"Taikoh Kagoshima Tea 150g" is the signature product of "Ohara Harukaen," a long-established tea shop founded in 1875. Every year, our tea masters travel directly to the source (Kagoshima) to carefully select and procure only the tea leaves that meet our exacting standards.

We use high-quality domestic tea leaves selected by visiting tea farmers and interacting directly with the raw tea leaves. We have pursued a "rich yet non-astringent, easy-to-drink" flavor, resulting in an exquisite taste that can be enjoyed by everyone from children to the elderly.

It features the vibrant, deep green color unique to "fukamushi-cha" (deep-steamed tea), which is steamed for a longer time, as well as a mellow, well-rounded umami and a rich body. Brewing it in a teapot brings out its sweetness and aroma, making it perfect not only for everyday enjoyment as sencha, but also for entertaining important guests or for a relaxing moment after a meal.

A generous 150g package that lets you enjoy plenty of tea. We invite you to enjoy the luxury of these blessings from Kagoshima, meticulously curated by our long-standing tea shop, in the comfort of your home.

Recommended for those who:
・Like mellow tea that has a "rich umami" but "little astringency."
・Want to taste authentic deep-steamed tea carefully selected by tea masters from a long-established shop directly at the production site.
・Are looking for an everyday tea that can be enjoyed generously (150g) after daily meals or during relaxing times.
・Are looking for an easy-to-drink Japanese tea that the whole family can enjoy.
・Want to give tea from a historical, established Kyoto/Osaka tea shop as a present, souvenir, or gift.

Recommended Brewing Instructions
・[Brewing in a Teapot]
1. Put an appropriate amount of tea leaves in the teapot (approx. 3g for 1 person, 6–8g for 3 people).
2. Pour in hot water cooled slightly to about 80°C (approx. 80mL per person).
3. Wait quietly for about 30–40 seconds, then pour evenly into teacups. (Pour until the very last drop to ensure the second steep is also delicious.)
・[Cold Brew]
Place tea leaves (10–15g) and cold water (1L) in a bottle and chill in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours. This results in a superb cold tea with suppressed astringency, where the sweetness and clear deep green color stand out.
