This is "Shizuoka Honyama Tea (80g)," a premium deep-steamed sencha from the prestigious Honyama region of Shizuoka—a historic, renowned tea-producing area beloved by Tokugawa Ieyasu—brought to you by Ohara Harukaen, a long-established tea merchant founded in 1875.

Often called the "Koshihikari of the tea world," Shizuoka Honyama tea is characterized by a refreshing, deep mountain aroma nurtured by the river mists and rich natural environment unique to its mountainous terrain. Through careful deep-steaming, we have maximized the tea leaves' umami and sweetness, resulting in a smooth, profound flavor with no astringent edges.

With a single sip, you can enjoy the refreshing mountain fragrance along with a rich umami and gentle sweetness that spreads throughout your mouth. It is not only a luxurious tea for daily enjoyment but also an exquisite choice for hosting guests or coloring a graceful moment after a meal.

The elegant Japanese-style package (80g) protects the tea's delicate quality from light and humidity, keeping the fresh aroma and taste for longer. It is a superb item that makes a wonderful gift for tea lovers, a thoughtful souvenir, or a special memento from Japan.

Recommended for those who:
・Want to taste premium deep-steamed sencha from the renowned Honyama, Shizuoka, known as the "Koshihikari of the tea world."
・Want to enjoy the refreshing, rich "mountain aroma" and natural sweetness unique to high-altitude regions.
・Are looking for a mellow, full-bodied, and gentle Japanese tea with very little astringency.
・Want to enjoy high-quality domestic green tea with their daily meals or during relaxing moments.
・Wish to give a meticulously selected, traditional tea from a historic merchant as a gift or souvenir.

Recommended Brewing Methods
・【Brewing in a Kyusu (Japanese teapot)】
  1. Place the appropriate amount of tea leaves in the teapot (approx. 3g per person, or 6–8g for 3 people).
  2. Pour in hot water cooled to approximately 80°C (approx. 80mL per person).
  3. Wait quietly for about 30–40 seconds, then pour evenly into teacups. (By pouring until the very last drop, you can ensure a delicious second steep.)
・【Cold Brew】
Place tea leaves (8–10g) and cold water (1L) into a bottle and let it steep slowly in the refrigerator for 2–3 hours. This brings out the sweetness and clean mountain aroma, creating a supreme cold tea.

Product Features
・【From Shizuoka Honyama, the "Koshihikari of the tea world"】
